Before entering the legal profession, Ashley spent nearly 20 years working within complex healthcare and regulatory systems, supporting individuals navigating Medicare, Medicaid, and other structured programs. That experience shaped her approach to problem-solving, helping people understand complicated processes and move forward with clarity and confidence.

During her judicial clerkship in family court, Ashley saw firsthand how many individuals were navigating important legal matters without access to guidance or support. She observed that many people could not access full representation but still needed help understanding the process, preparing documents, and organizing their next steps.

Pattain Legal Help was created to help bridge that gap by offering structured, limited-scope legal services designed for individuals representing themselves in Minnesota courts.

Ashley’s work focuses on making legal support more accessible, understandable and practical, particularly for people managing the legal system without the resources for traditional full-representation models.

She also provides pro bono services through nonprofit partnerships when available.
