Affordable Legal Guidance for Minnesota Families

Limited-scope legal services designed to support individuals representing themselves in Minnesota family and related matters, including custody, parenting time, divorce (dissolution), Orders for Protection (OFP), and Harassment Restraining Orders (HRO).

Limited Scope

Legal Services

Limited-scope legal services provide focused help from a licensed attorney on specific parts of a case rather than full representation from start to finish. Clients may choose this option when they want guidance preparing documents, understanding court procedures, or getting ready for a hearing while continuing to represent themselves in Minnesota court.

Common services include:

  • Consultation strategy sessions

  • Answer drafting support

  • Answer & Counterpetition drafting

  • Summons & Petition drafting

  • Order for Protection (OFP) drafting support

  • Harassment Restraining Order (HRO) drafting support

  • Hearing preparation sessions

Schedule a Consultation

Scheduling a consultation through Pattain Legal Help is simple and designed to provide practical guidance for individuals navigating Minnesota court matters without full representation.

Consultations are limited-scope legal services, which means the appointment is focused on answering questions, reviewing your situation, and helping you identify next steps.

In some situations, flat-fee drafting support or additional limited-scope services may be available after the consultation, if appropriate and confirmed in writing.

Scheduling an appointment does not create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only after a conflicts-of-interest review is completed and services are confirmed in writing.

Consultation appointments require advance payment to reserve attorney time. Consultation fees are earned upon scheduling and compensate for reserved consultation time. If a conflict prevents the consultation from occurring, your payment will be returned.

Please select the consultation length that best fits your situation below.
